Access to
Access to "Carved Out" Dental Services

Medicaid members in Florida are able to access select "carved out" dental services and procedures that are covered by Medicaid health plans. These services include the following:

  • Treatment for a dislocated jaw
  • Treatment for Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMJ)
  • Specified prosthesis
  • Treatment and devices to treat craniofacial anomalies
  • Treatment provided in a hospital setting, including anesthesia
  • Non-emergency transportation to and from dental appointments

Your office may refer MCNA members to our dedicated Case Management Program to obtain assistance with access to "carved out" dental services and procedures. Our experienced Case Management Coordinators will coordinate all services with the member's Medicaid health plan.

To refer a member, simply send an email message to casemanagement@mcna.net. An MCNA member may also request Case Management assistance directly from MCNA by calling our Member Hotline at 1-855-858-6262 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday through Friday).

  • Hanukkah: December 6 through 14
    • The eight-day festival of light symbolized by the eight candles of the menorah. Gatherings and festivities involve traditional foods, gifts, and games.
  • Christmas Day: December 25
    • The day commemorating and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ symbolized by nativity scenes and a decorated evergreen tree. Observations of this day involve music and carols, along with traditional foods and gifts.
  • Kwanzaa: December 26 - January 1
    • The seven-day festival of harvest symbolized by the seven candles of the kinara, the seven symbols, and the seven principles. Gatherings and festivities include African drums, singing and dancing, along with a large traditional meal.
  • New Year's Eve: December 31
    • The last day of the year and the close of the holiday season that is celebrated across the world with parties and countdowns during the final seconds before midnight.
