Iowa Children's Dental Health Month The MCNA team would like to thank Governor Kim Reynolds for signing the proclamation recognizing February as Children's Dental Health Month in Iowa! Preventive dental care is the key to lifetime of good oral health. We encourage all children to see the dentist as soon as their first tooth erupts, and to continue with regular preventive dental visits throughout childhood and adolescence to avoid the development of tooth decay.
