Opioid Course for Florida Licensed Dentists
Opioid Course for Florida Licensed Dentists

To ensure your license stays active, all Florida licensed dentists registered with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prescribe controlled substances must take a two-hour continuing education course on opioid training by Jan. 31, 2019.

The Florida Dental Association is offering an Opioid Use Disorder in Dental Patients course to meet this requirement:

Course Description

Opioid use disorder is a persistent problem in the United States and has become an important issue to medical and dental professionals. With this course, doctors will have a greater understanding of the current problem of opioid use disorder and be able to develop a protocol for treating these patients.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the scope of the opioid program and the current situation in Florida.
