MCNA is committed to improving the oral health outcomes of our members through the activities of our Quality Improvement (QI) Program. The QI Program helps us to address barriers to access for our members and increase the quality of dental care and services available. Our QI Program activities include contributing to the development of MCNA's Clinical Practice Guidelines, performing focus studies (both clinical and non-clinical), conducting member educational outreach, and completing dental record audits.

MCNA Supports Successful Walk Now for Autism Speaks
MCNA employees and their family members helped raised awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder along with over 6,500 other attendees at the most successful Broward Walk Now for Autism Speaks to date! The event, which took place on the campus of Nova Southeastern University on September 26, 2015, raised over $200,000 toward funding for autism science and advocacy efforts in Broward County. MCNA was one of the walk's corporate sponsors.
In the months leading up to the event, our employees ran several fundraisers such as raffles, bake sales, and luncheons to raise money for Autism Speaks. The MCNA team was able to contribute over $2,800 in total! At the event, 35 "walkers" came together to represent MCNA's dedication to this important organization and its work to improve the lives of children and families living with the ...

Winter Holiday Season
The end of the year is jam-packed with festivals and holidays celebrating beliefs from many different cultural backgrounds. Here is a quick reminder about the major events that inspire all of the festivities we enjoy during the upcoming month:
- Hanukkah - December 6 through 14
- The eight-day festival of light symbolized by the eight candles of the menorah. Gatherings and festivities involve traditional foods, gifts, and games.
- Christmas Day - December 25
- The day commemorating and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ symbolized by nativity scenes and a decorated evergreen tree. Observations of this day involve music and carols, along with traditional foods and gifts.
- Kwanzaa - December 26 through January 1
- The seven-day festival of harvest symbolized by the seven candles of the kinara, the seven symbols, and the seven principles. Gatherings and festivities include African drums, singing and dancing, along with a large traditional meal.
- New Year's Eve - December 31
- The last day of the year and the close of the holiday season that is celebrated across the world with parties and countdowns during the final seconds before midnight.
