Go Green with MCNA!
We encourage our entire network of dental providers to go green in their offices. To help you accomplish this, we provide many online tools and services through our free Provider Portal, including:
- Electronic claims submission
- National Electronic Attachment (NEA) FastAttach capabilities
- Instant online eligibility check
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for payments
- Electronic Remittance Advice (RA)

Your office is a literacy-rich environment filled with signs, postings, informational booklets, magazines, and forms. You expect your patients to be able to understand the signs, complete forms, and otherwise comprehend the information available to them in order to successfully navigate their dental appointment. Their ability to do this is a part of their individual oral health literacy, which the American Dental Association defines as the degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate oral health decisions.

Halloween - October 31
The holiday celebrated today by many people on October 31 has roots in several cultures and belief systems. One of the most beloved traditions on Halloween, trick-or-treating, has existed since medieval times. Both children and adults put on costumes during the three-day celebration of "Hallowmas" and went door-to-door asking for food or money in exchange for a song or a prayer. Today children enjoy this same tradition, seeking candy from the houses they visit, but they often end up with too many sweets! This year, help your patients and parents promote a healthier Halloween by suggesting they hand out more nutritious treats. Some suggestions include:
- Sugar-free gum
- Dark chocolate covered nuts
- Small toys and knick knacks, like glow stickers, animal figures, and temporary tattoos
