At MCNA, we take great pride in delivering access to high quality dental care and services to our members with the help of our outstanding network of providers. We focus on the prevention of oral disease for the children enrolled in Medicaid and CHIP programs to help them avoid painful dental decay, missed hours at school, and costly restorative treatment. One of the most effective methods available for the prevention of tooth decay is dental sealants.

Billing Our Members
Billing Our Members

Please remember that you are not allowed to bill an MCNA member for covered services as outlined in Florida Statute Chapter 641.3155. You may bill the member for non-covered services only with a signed letter of understanding received from the member prior to rendering the service. The letter of understanding from the member must include the following:

  • A statement that the member is financially responsible for the described services
  • A complete description of the dental services to be rendered
  • A statement that the Plan, MCNA or the State of Florida will not be held responsible for payment of the described dental services
  • A reasonable estimate of the charges before receiving dental services

This may be a part of your treatment plan as long as it contains the statements listed above. Please call our Provider Hotline at 1-855-698-6262 if you have any questions about this requirement.

These colorful sheets can fit on or around the bathroom mirror, providing a fun reminder to start and end the day with "Monster-busting and brushing!"
