Texas defines a Main Dental Home (MDH) as the dental provider that supports an ongoing relationship with the client that includes all aspects of oral health care delivered in a comprehensive, continuously accessible, coordinated, and family-centered way. A member can see his or her MDH Provider, or main dentist, at any location in which the provider is credentialed with MCNA.

A member can also see any MCNA-credentialed provider in the same "brick and mortar" facility in which his or her main dentist practices without changing the main dentist assignment. The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) has issued the Nondiscrimination in Health Programs and Activities final rule prohibiting health care facilities that receive federal financial assistance from discriminating against a person based on age, race, color, nationality, disability, or gender. It also enhances language assistance for individuals with limited English proficiency and protects individuals with disabilities. This final rule implementing Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act went into effect July 18, 2016.
