Reminder: New Dental Wellness Plan Billing Requirements
Beginning February 1, 2020, the Iowa Medicaid Enterprise (IME) began implementing a mandatory electronic billing requirement (including adjustments) for all Medicaid enrolled dental providers. Initial details of this requirement were announced in June 2019 in Informational Letter #2022 MC-FFS-D1. The dental plan administrators for the Dental Wellness Plan and Hawki will follow the same requirements as FFS when processing claims received after February 1, 2020.
