MCNA Dental Helps Seal-a-Smile MCNA Dental was a proud participant helping to provide key preventive services to elementary school students at a Seal-a-Smile event on May 4, 2016. Our own hygienist joined other volunteer dentists and dental professionals at Marksville Elementary School in Avoyelles Parish to provide dental screenings, fluoride varnish, and sealants to children in need of dental services. MCNA Dental was able to see 70 of our members and render three or four sealants on each child, along with fluoride varnish. Events like this one bring preventive treatment to regions where a large percentage of Medicaid members fail to receive regular oral health care. According to Seal-a-Smile Program representatives, there are 8,500 Medicaid members in Avoyelles Parish, and of that ...
