Acceptable substitute for x-rays

If a member receives treatment in a hospital that does not have the capability to complete dental x-rays, the office may submit photographs in place of the x-rays as documentation. Please indicate that the hospital does not offer dental x-rays when submitting photographs in their place. MCNA does not reimburse for photographs in this circumstance.
