Our Texas leadership team supports MCNA's mission to promote good oral health by increasing access to high quality dental care for our members in their communities across the state. Our leaders use their own unique expertise and experience to connect with the provider community and guide our program to best serve to the children of Texas.

Dr. Linda Altenhoff serves as our Vice President of Program Integrity. She provides expert clinical consultation to MCNA's Special Investigations Unit and guides our program integrity activities within the Texas Medicaid and CHIP Program and throughout our nationwide operations.

A Texas-licensed general dentist, Dr. Altenhoff has over 30 years of professional experience as a dental practitioner, a nationally recognized lecturer, and a leader in the oversight of Medicaid and CHIP oral health programs. Prior to joining MCNA, Dr. Altenhoff was the Chief Dental Officer for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Office of Inspector General. She has also served as the State Dental Director with the Texas Department of State Health Services and held several leadership positions in national professional organizations including President of the Medicaid/Medicare/CHIP State Dental Association (MSDA) and member of the Board of Directors of the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD).

Dr. Altenhoff supports proactive communication between MCNA and our providers, often utilizing peer-to-peer interactions to foster better understanding. She is a regular guest presenter at meetings of professional dental organizations across the State of Texas where her goal is to enhance understanding of Medicaid policies as well as other requirements for compliance with the Texas Dental Practice Act. Dr. Altenhoff plays a vital role in MCNA's continuing positive relationships with the provider community, and her professionalism and vision contribute to the achievement of MCNA's quality goals.
