  • Consider the size of your office and the number of people that you have. If your space is bigger and you have more people, more air needs to be cleaned.
  • Check the validity of the claims made by the company that you plan to buy your air purifier from. The association that certifies air cleaners is called Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), make sure that your air purifier has their seal.
  • Lastly, the California Air Resources Board has created a list of air cleaners which are certified as safe and effective. Be mindful, that not all of them use HEPA filters.
