The Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry in Baltimore, Maryland, proudly preserves and presents the history of dentistry in the United States and around the world. Opened in 1996, the museum is located at the home of America's first dental school at the University of Maryland. On display are unique dentistry artifacts and exhibits on oral health, as well as stories about distinct dental professionals and their contributions. In 2003, the museum was designated by Congress as the official museum of the dental profession.
