February is National Children's Dental Health Month (NCDHM)! The American Dental Association (ADA) created this special month to help everyone be more aware of the benefits of good oral health for children. This year's observance is themed around the importance of dental sealants on permanent molars as a reliable and equitable way to prevent tooth decay. Successfully placed, dental sealants reduce the risk of caries by 80%, according to the ADA.
Help to spread the word that "sealants make sense!" The ADA has created free and fun posters to help promote the benefits of good oral health to children. You can view and print them from the ADA's NCDHM website. Children and their families can also learn more from the ADA about sealants and NCDHM here.
