MCNA's Compliance Program

MCNA is committed to maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical standards. To achieve our goals, we maintain a comprehensive Compliance Program to ensure we continue to provide the highest quality services in an ethical manner and in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Our Compliance Program was developed in accordance with 42 CFR § 438.608, and incorporates all relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and guidance issued by state agencies, CMS, and the Office of Inspector General. MCNA creates and maintains corporate policies and procedures that govern the manner in which we conduct our business. These policies and procedures are specific to each business area within the company and incorporate Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act requirements. To ensure the ongoing effectiveness of our Compliance Program, all MCNA employees undergo annual training about core program components, including HIPAA privacy training.

MCNA's Compliance Program also incorporates all program integrity requirements and combines prevention, vigilant monitoring, investigation, enforcement, training and communication to foster a culture of ethics and compliance within our provider networks. We maintain open lines of communication to report suspected violations of MCNA policies and instances of fraud, waste, and abuse of state and federal government funds earmarked for Medicaid, CHIP, and Medicare enrollees. MCNA accepts reports of suspected fraud or abuse, including anonymous reports, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through our confidential Fraud Hotline at 1-855-392-6262.
