Transfer of Dental Records

MCNA is committed to providing high quality dental care to Medicaid and CHIP enrollees across the country. Our mission is to provide access to high-quality oral health care and service excellence that improves the oral health outcomes of our members. The satisfaction of our members is a top priority; therefore, we strive to honor their rights. All MCNA members have well-defined rights and responsibilities under the Medicaid Program. As our partner in the provision of high-quality oral health care, you play an important role in helping to ensure that those rights are observed and protected.

If a member wishes to transfer to another participating dental office, there will be no charge to the member for the copying of charts and/or radiographs subject to MCNA policies. All copies must be provided to the MCNA member within five (5) days of the request.

Providers can request that the member authorize the release of his or her dental records to them from practitioners who treated the member prior to visiting their office.
