Second Opinion - MCNA Generated Referral
Second Opinion - MCNA Generated Referral

As a dental provider, it is important to discuss all aspects of a member's treatment plan and ensure all member's concerns and questions have been answered prior to beginning treatment. If the member indicates they would like a second opinion, inform them that MCNA will have to authorize the second opinion visit to a provider in the MCNA network. If an in-network option is not available, MCNA will cover the cost of seeing a non-network provider. Upon request, the referring provider is responsible for providing copies of the member's dental record, radiographs, and any other information to the provider performing the second opinion.

MCNA appreciates and values your dedication to the care of our members and our partnership.
