Effective January 1, 2018, federal regulation requires all providers under all service delivery models to enroll with the State as a Medicaid provider after performing any applicable screening. The "Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Programs; Medicaid Managed Care, CHIP Delivered in Managed Care, and Revisions Related to Third Party Liability; Final Rule" that went into effect in 2016 requires the State to screen and enroll, and periodically revalidate, all network providers of Managed Care Organizations, Pre-paid Inpatient Health Plans, and Pre-paid Ambulatory Health Plans, in accordance with the requirements of 42 CFR part 455, subparts B and E.

As a dental provider participating with MCNA in the Texas Medicaid and CHIP Dental Program, you are required to re-enroll with the State at least every five years after initial enrollment. Please visit the Texas Health and Human Services website for more information.
