The MCNA Provider Manual is your primary resource for important Texas Medicaid and CHIP dental program information, including documentation and claims submission requirements for all covered service codes. You can access the most current version of the Provider Manual online through your Provider Portal account.

As a best practice, please remember to check the home page of your Provider Portal account often for announcements regarding the Provider Manual. We post notification for all providers when a newly updated version of the manual is available for download.

Texas defines a Main Dental Home (MDH) as the dental provider that supports an ongoing relationship with the client that includes all aspects of oral health care delivered in a comprehensive, continuously accessible, coordinated, and family-centered way. A member can see his or her MDH Provider, or main dentist, at any location in which the provider is credentialed with MCNA.
